Guest Rooms

This Italian/Queen Anne Renaissance home was built in 1899. It has been renovated into a special place for you to enjoy. It features hand painted ceilings, stained glass windows, and magnificent inlaid & carved woodwork. It can accommodate up to 14 guests in four rooms that are completely furnished with antique furniture of the era. Each room has a private bath and air-conditioning with individual room control. There are many sitting rooms to enjoy. A music room complete with player piano and many musical instruments available to the guests. A complete breakfast is served in the mornings including the world famous O&H Danish Kringle from Wisconsin.

The Solomon Room
This room features beautiful antique bird's-eye maple furniture with two double beds. It is tastefully furnished with reading chair and antique armoire. It has a private, attached bath. It also contains a stained-glass-window door overlooking the magnificent hand-carved staircase. The Solomon Room features an in-room electric fireplace heater to add ambience and warmth, as well as in-room air-conditioning. This room welcomes you to come and step back Into history with us! The Abraham Room
This is one of the warmest, coziest rooms. It is furnished with antique brass queen-size bed. It contains a recliner wingback chair for reading. There is a wonderful large bay window perfect for reading. An electric fireplace is set in an antique mantle, a wonderful cozy effect. This room has a private out-of-room bath. Another great room to step back into time with us!

The Amelia Room
Named after Solomon Mier's wife, it is our largest room. It has two double beds. The furniture is magnificent antique east-lake walnut, with a Victorian flair. It also contains a fainting couch, and two wingback reading chair. It has its own private, large bath attached. The Amelia room has in-room air-conditioning as well as free standing electric cast iron stove/fireplace to add warmth as well ambience to this room. This room is awaiting your visit back in time with us. We would be delighted to have you stay with us!

The Rose Bedroom
This room features a king-size bed (two twin antique beds converted to form the king-size bed). It has lovely antique mahogany furniture with vanity and dressing table. This bright, cheery room has a stained-glass-window door overlooking the magnificent staircase. It also features an electric fireplace/heater to add warmth and ambience as well as in-room air-conditioning. The room also has its own in-room, private bath with antique marble sink. We welcome you to come spend time with us and step back into history!
